Little Vikings

THEY will be 20-somethings now, but back in February 1996 these four were little Vikings.
Can you remember why they were dressed in the attire of the Scandinavians who ‘visited’ our shores, centuries before our first hotels opened?
And what are they up to now? To let us know, leave your comments below.

The photograph was taken on a Viking Day at Bishop David Sheppard School. The little girl on the far right is my daughter Emma> Emma is 19 and is studying Linguistics at Manchester University. I will ask Emma who the others are when I see her this week. I am now a teacher at BDS and so am on half term break. I remember that we had to provide a viking costume- Emma wore a hand-me-down from her sister Rachel who had experienced a viking day two years earlier. I know that the children loved the experience. I think that one of the 'vikings' who visited the school was called Snorri(?).
